Obi-Wan was glad that his padawan had calmed down, but it did not solve the problem. There had never been any doubt in the fact that Anakin was a persistent and ambitious young man. When he wanted something, whether it was making a statement clear, or making a move that he believed to be the right one on a mission, he would not stop until he got it. In this case, however, Obi-Wan needed to show him that he could never have what he desired.
He turned away to the window and stepped towards his padawan, but did not yes sit down. “Then what is it that you understand?” Obi-Wan asked calmly, unsure whether this was a scheme to change Obi-Wan’s mind, or whether it was Anakin giving up in trying to do so. If it was the latter, that was, of course, a good ending of their conversation. He did, however, have a feeling that it was not. He knew Anakin too well for him to give up now, so soon in their argument.
“I allowed my emotions to rule over my actions and got carried away,” he began coolly, taking words from lines he’d memorized long ago. “However I may feel about you, or you for me, our relationship is what it is. I will do my best to accept that and move on.” He knew all the Jedi codes and saying by heart and recited them flawlessly, but behind the feigned innocence of his words, determination held fast. He knew he could not let this go, but for the time being, he would have to do his best to ignore it. Whatever Obi-Wan said, Anakin knew better than to believe every word. There wasn’t anything he could do to make his master admit it, not now. Patience was needed, so for the time being he’d relent. One day, he told himself, one day I will convince him to open up to me. There wont be any turning back after that.

“General Skywalker, sir.” Rex stood tall, saluting his superior.
Anakin gave a short nod. “Good to see you’re alive and well.”
“It takes more than a few clankers to take me down, sir. However, I can say the same for you.”
“That’s what I like to hear,” he said with a grin. “Just don’t get into any good fights without me.”

Hello everyone, I have once again risen from the ashes of a prolonged absence. I’m ready to start the cycle anew and am currently looking for new threads/ideas/maybe to pick up some old ones.
((I don’t want anyone to think I’ve left the galaxy again, but I’m not sure how reliable I’ll be with replies. I’m feeling a little heartbroken at how terrible I am at staying consistent, considering that my past interactions with all of you have been so fun and amazing (really!!!!!!!) I can’t promise to be better about it in the future, because I’m not sure I could keep that promise, but I can apologize forever.
- much love, skywalkerknight
The cloaked figure threw back its hood.
San Hill recoiled, hands flapping like panicked birds sewn to his wrists. He had time to gasp, “You’re-you’re Anakin Skywalker!” before a fountain of blue-white plasma burned into his chest, curving through a loop that charred all three of his hearts.
The Separatist leadership watched in frozen horror as the corpse of the head of the InterGalactic Banking Clan collapsed like a depowered protocol droid.
“The resemblance,” Darth Vader said, “is deceptive.”

Obi-Wan had already felt Anakin’s outburst coming, but stayed silent all the way through his shouts and only looked up at him when he apologized locking eyes with his padawan. “The lounge, Anakin,” he spoke, motioning for him to go through. He kept his cool, knowing that letting any of his own feelings escape would only prove Anakin right: that he did feel something.
Once in the lounge, he shut the door behind them and stepped towards one of the large windows, looking out over Coruscant. “I’m not telling you that your feelings are accepted,” he spoke, turning his back to the glass. “I’m telling you that you should not lock them away, but try to put them in perspective, and think them over. What you feel, and what you desire because of it, Anakin, cannot happen,” Obi-Wan spoke again. “I don’t know how often I need to say it before you understand,” he added, ignoring the fact that Anakin had mentioned that Obi-Wan felt the same. He couldn’t know and despite the fact that speaking these words did hurt, he could not change his perspective. Just like he’d never given into the love he had felt for Satine or Siri Tachi, he couldn’t give into Anakin either.
Anakin nodded and followed Obi-Wan into the next room; he knew better than to argue at this point. He took a seat and listened quietly to everything his master had to say. It wasn’t as difficult to keep silent now. He’d seen something in his master’s eyes. A glint of some emotion he didn’t quite understand, but it told him what he’d suspected was true: Obi-Wan was lying. Calm came easily to him now. He knew he would be able to change his mind eventually. All he needed was a little patience. When Anakin spoke, it was clear that he’d let go of his frustration, “I understand, master.” He looked at Obi-Wan, a fierce confidence flickering behind his eyes. “I think I understand you perfectly.”
